If they can do it, why can't we?

him and me
Me: Are we mean?
Him: ...
Me: ...'cause, I think we are...
Him: It's not that we're mean. We just use common sense and make fun of everyone else who doesn't.
Me: That makes sense. I am so sick of everyone sugar-coating everything. Just tell me what you want to actually say.
Him: It's almost like people don't want to hear that their way of doing things isn't logical. Weird.
Me: Weird.

me
If I had a nickle for every time someone told me I should quit my job and be a full time artist, I would be wealthy.
I recently painted for the family who's property I live on. It's a way for me to keep my rent supa cheap. They bought this cute shower curtain from Kohls, and it became the theme for their new play room, which I painted.
So first off I had to paint the entire room and ceiling "Waterworld" blue, by Disney Paints. Then I drew on large paper a tree and sunshine. They then took my drawing and had it cut out of wood so I could paint it like the shower curtain. (Their wall is too textured to actually paint the tree on it directly) From there I painted the tree and sunshine, and it was officially completed Wednesday and hung up Thursday. I snapped a couple pics of it once they had it up.
I'm sure I could do this "professionally" but I really like having a steady paycheck.

mostly me, and a little of him and them
I love my kitchen.
I think it is the cutest ever.
I have OCD. This cabinet is a way for Bryce to tweak with me. This is how all of the dishes should look, but he loves to put the bowls where the plates go and vice-versa. Drives me BONKERS.
The weekends make me want to bake. So I usually give in to this desire. Did you know that when I married Bryce I didn't know how to make a box of Macaroni and cheese, because I had never done it before? Yeah. Pathetic. But, I've found that not only do I love to cook, but I'm actually pretty good at it.
I decided we needed some cinnamon rolls. So I got crakin.
Ta Da. Simply beautiful and amazingly delicious.
The children couldn't wait for them to be done, so I could cuddle them.
What a good way to spend my Saturday morning.

him, me and them
Easter came so fast I forgot to go shopping. I think hell just froze over.
We hauled off with a stash of goodies by the end of the day. I woke Bryce up at 7:30 to open baskets and he kept crying for the whambulance all freaking day. "Guess what time Court got me up. 7:30!" Blah blah blah.
Then the kids opened their Easter eggs, which is becoming one of my favorite traditions to do with them. They're so smart. Heaven knows they get it from my side.
This Easter was conference and I had custom made some coloring books for myself and my brothers to enjoy while listening to the talks given. Lets just say I'm the coolest sister ever and they were a hit. They all owe me hand-written thank you notes delivered via USPS.
